At the Wild Eye Pub
535 Mill St. Grass Valley CA

Haute Trash carried on the tradition of celebrating EARTH DAY at the wonderful Wild Eye Pub in Grass Valley. Let’s face it, folks. Things have not improved much for our planet, since the first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970. As we watch many of the most dire predictions coming true, we continue to put up resistance. That’s what we do.
For decades, Haute Trash has been a living, strutting reminder that what we throw away doesn’t disappear. It waits. It lingers. It ruins. Ahh, but sometimes, in the right hands—it transforms. Our show is not just fashion. It’s reclamation. It’s confrontation. It’s art stitched from the remnants of our dirty habits. Every design made from waste—reclaimed, reimagined, reborn. Every piece of rubbish fashioned into something bold, something sexy, something impossible to ignore. A reminder that nothing really goes “away” But this runway isn’t just about what we wear. It’s about who wears it. Here, we celebrate every body—every shape, every age, every expression. This is a runway of radical inclusion, where beauty isn’t dictated—it’s embodied. Because the same world that tells us to throw things away… also tells us to shrink, to hide, to not be enough. We don’t buy that, any more than we buy single use plastic. We are here to remind you: rethink all of it. Your habits, your consumption, and the stories you’ve been told about worth.
Cosmo Merryweather was our guide, as we made our way through all the current issues that need a little resistance! Our National Parks, the LBGTQ Community, Polluted Oceans and Rivers, Global Unity, Technology, Billionaires, Banning Plastics, and a look into a Post-Apocalyptic world. We brought down the full house! Thank you to all our amazing patrons!
